OK we have lots of pics, so I should be doing this more frequently. The next couple of pics are of our "front lawn". Germans have a whole different conception of what constitutes a lawn. Primarily, they just let everything grow, grass, weeds, etc. In fact, I don't know if there is such a thing as a weed, at least not in a lawn.

On the other hand, they have really big spectacular flowering bushes here in the spring.

While we're talking about flowers, there was an interesting exhibit at one of the local malls. The Chemnitz florists association had a competition, where all participants were to use the same ingredients. Here are some of the creative things they did with those.

But it's not all flowers here in Chemnitz. Here are some other interesting sights from around Chemnitz. Yes, until about 20 years ago, this city was called "Karl-Marx Stadt" (actually, from 1953 until 1991) and here is the monument to Karl

Other intersting sights around town

OK, I know how to spell interesting. Anyway, here are some interesting types of vehicles on Chemnitz streets.

Speaking of cars, parking can get really tight here. I'm proud of myself for having mastered this quite well. Take a look at this:

The blue one is ours, and NO I did not side it in sideways.
